What is Adwords?

what is Adwords Google Adwords is an automated advertising network created by Google back in 2000. The Adwords system triggers adverts to show around natural search listings, other search networks, and even within the content of other web pages.

Adwords adverts are ‘contextual’, which means they are directly relevent to the content of the page or the keywords contained in the search term that triggered the advert to show.

For example if you search for red shoes, the adverts surrounding the search term will more often than not be from advertisers directly related to the shoe marketplace.

There are a variety of Adwords Formats to choose from including: text, images, video, but for the purposes of this introduction, we will start with text adverts.
